"Sean worked with our leadership team with a nice blend of acute perceptiveness, clear but lateral thinking, and focus on the outcomes needed.  He dealt sensitively with personal issues, and helped us develop a more effective and cohesive leadership team.  His unusual blend of psychological insight and appreciation of strategic business requirements worked extremely well for us."

Stuart Hamilton, Chief Executive Officer, Open Universities Australia

"Sean stands apart from most others I have seen by being able to ask confrontational questions in a non aggressive way. He’s smart enough (and sufficiently experienced) to know what the appropriate questions are and, because he is not confrontational, he can guide the development of the answers. I think this helps him get quick results and to transfer ownership of the improvement plan to his mentees."

John Gardiner, Non-Executive Director, Queensland Motorways
Former Chief Executive Officer, ConnectEast

"Sean counselled me through two major career transitions: first, my transition into partnership with a leading global law firm, and then later the difficult decision-making process involved in leaving that firm after over ten years to take up a new role with another leading global firm. Sean's approach is one of engaging in open conversations and asking thought-provoking questions. He combines a strikingly high degree of empathy that creates a safe space in which to discuss issues, with an uncompromising honesty that is not afraid to challenge assumptions, and a recognition that sometimes a bit of 'tough love' is required. Through this process, Sean helps to re-frame the way one looks at problems and brings clarity to complex situations, be they business, management, career or personal."

"I now realise that people are so busy, busy, busy that they don't have time to think. In fact, activity becomes a substitute for thinking and clear analysis. What I learnt from Sean was to find and work on the critical point of leverage that will get the best results, which allows you to do one thing and solve two or three or more of the things that you need to get done.  Really good senior managers do less and get more. Sean is brilliant at helping people to implement this and reap the rewards. And he's fun to talk too as well."

Alexandra Chapman, Founder, Totally Optimized Projects

“Sean is a very personable, and efficient manager. He has good insight into the management process, and is very proficient in identifying, and helping to solve problems. He is creative, but also level-headed and sincere about his work.”

Glen Rasmussen, Managing Director, Dataquest Asia Pacific

"Sean has been a fantastic sounding board for new ideas, dilemmas and opportunities.”
Andy Sheats, CEO, health.com.au

"Sean brings a different, clear and useful perspective to leading and shaping businesses as an Executive. His thoughtfulness, observational skills and integrity enable him to provide input and support for business leaders that can rarely if ever be found from within their own organisation."

Rod Laird
Director, Business Impact Achitecture | Research Director NICTA | Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering (Hon) at University of Melbourne

I began working with Sean during a period of significant internal upheaval within the team during a time of change. The sessions with Sean gave me time to sit and talk through what was happening, to express a range of challenges and feelings and sort through the confusion in order to lead the team out of the turmoil with integrity, clarity and direction.  The process assisted me in leading the organisation whilst maintaining the continuing confidence of the Board of Directors. We have now moved past that difficult period, with the team working cohesively to grow and develop the organisation.
