The Continuation Studio

Most firms recognise the need to think more deliberately about how partner contribution evolves over time. Fewer have a practical way to do this work well, without defaulting to policy, performance processes, or one-off interventions that constrain rather than enable.

The Continuation Studio is a small, peer-based design space for partners and firm leaders to work on the questions Continuation raises in practice: how contribution, authority and influence evolve across long professional arcs within firms and, over time, beyond them.

The Studio is not a program in the conventional sense. It is a structured environment in which experienced professionals can step out of day-to-day performance cycles and work in parallel on the design of their career strategy and the firm’s long-term capability.

The Continuation Studio brings together a small number of peers to work with real issues from their firms, such as succession, leadership pathways, newly emerging roles and alumni relationships.

It uses a design framework that surfaces assumptions, tests options, and builds shared understanding.
